READ ABOUT BRENT!

From the time Brent could talk, he has been putting on a show. Long before he ever stepped on a stage, some of his earliest inspirations came from the characters and stories he grew up watching. From singing along to Frozen to discovering the music and performance of Hannah Montana, Brent was fascinated by worlds where music and storytelling went hand in hand. What started as a kid singing along to his favorite characters soon became living room performances, made-up stories, and finding any excuse to put on a show. The love for performing eventually made it to the actual stage. At just six years old, Brent stepped out in front of an audience for the first time to sing “Bigger Than Us” from Hannah Montana.

Since then, Brent has had the opportunity to perform in many productions with Mill Mountain Theatre, Star City Academy for the Performing Arts, Virginia Children’s Theatre, his school’s theatre program, and film production companies. He has been able to explore and perform as a variety of characters, meet people who share the same love for performing, and learn more about the performer he wants to become. Additionally, he has training with Kevin Jones and Bethany Costello in voice, working on many styles such as pop, contemporary, country/folk, and children’s music, among others. He has also trained in acting with Mill Mountain Theatre Acting Conservatory and Francesa Reilly, and dance training with Mill Mountain Theatre Dance Conservatory, Floyd Ward Dance Studio, and LEAP Performing Arts.

While musical theatre is a huge part of Brent’s life, his creativity doesn’t stop when he leaves the stage. He enjoys photography, painting, visual art, teaching, developing original projects, and writing stories and scripts. Whether he is performing in a musical, writing a story, working on an original project, or experimenting with another form of art, he is always looking for a new way to create!
